Chorley St James CE Primary School, Lancashire

Chorley St James CE Primary School reached out to NBB Outdoors with the specific requirement to create a sheltered area that not only provided functionality but also featured a modern aesthetic that seamlessly integrated with the existing school building. The primary objectives of the project were as follows:

Ensuring Enhanced Security: The school was specifically seeking a shelter that could endure all weather conditions, from heavy rain and strong winds to intense sunlight and snow. Additionally, they required the shelter to be backed by a long-term guarantee, ensuring durability and reliability over the years.

Limitations and Restrictions: The school required an installation team capable of handling the complex logistical and construction challenges posed by the varying window locations. This meant the successful team would need to customise the positioning of posts and the shelter itself to accommodate these obstacles, ensuring a seamless and effective installation without compromising the building’s structure or aesthetics.

To accommodate Chorley St James CE Primary Schools needs, NBB Outdoors custom built and installed a Winterbourne Freestanding Bespoke Shelter solution that delivered the following features:

Bespoke Design: Following a thorough site survey and detailed conversations with the school, it was agreed that a L6600mm x D5000mm x H2900mm subsurfaced Freestanding Winterbourne Shelter would best meet the specific requirements of the project.

Exacting Standards and Requirements: Special attention and consideration were given during the initial design and drawing process to ensure the proposed dimensions accommodated the specific custom post placement requested by the school. The limitations and restrictions due to existing window placements were meticulously reviewed and incorporated into the final design.

Expert Finishing: Working closely with the school to provide sample finishes and colour matching, the final shelter was manufactured and installed in a striking Yellow RAL1021 finish. This choice ensured the shelter complemented the academic surroundings and enhanced the school’s brand image.

NBB Outdoors proved to be the perfect partner for Chorley St James CE Primary School by delivering a bespoke shelter that met both functional and aesthetic demands. Our comprehensive and tailored solution made us the ideal choice for enhancing the school’s outdoor space.
