Bournemouth University, Dorset

Bournemouth University is a longstanding customer of NBB Outdoors, and when they approached us with their latest project we were delighted to assist with a solution.

The university was looking to upgrade an existing cycle compound at one of their campuses in the heart of the city. Looking for something that would ensure the safety of students and the daytime and nighttime security of their bikes. NBB visited the site to ensure a thorough survey was carried out, requirements discussed, and all the necessary details were collated to enable provision of a full Risk Assessment at the request of the university.

The solution to their needs were bespoke mesh cage sides, with polycarbonate panels and a gate to the external area of the compound to accommodate a swipe card entry system. The mesh sides were completed in Anthracite Grey, RAL 7016 Satin Finish to ensure continuity with the surrounding area in which it was installed. As part of the work carried out by NBB all the materials dismantled from the old shelters were cleared and safely disposed of, and the new shelter left for immediate use. NBB continue to develop ideas and solutions for Bournemouth University across many campuses in the local area and look forward to working with them again soon.
