Childwall Sports & Science Academy, Liverpool

We were recently contacted by Childwall Sports & Science Academy, as they were looking for an outdoor dining style shelter to protect students from the elements during break and lunch times.

After our installation team had visited the site to discuss these requirements and their expectations for the shelter, it was decided that a bespoke Winterbourne Wall Attached Shelter would be best suited to the environment.

The final project measures 16.5m x 5.6m and the academy opted to have it galvanised and powder coated in Blue RAL 5002.

This surface treatment – carried out to ISO 1461:2009 with a minimum coverage of UM85 – means the structure will be guaranteed to last for a minimum of 25 years maintenance-free, serving the school for many years to come.  The roof is made from clear triple wall 16mm polycarbonate, to allow light to penetrate the sheltered areas.
